Troubleshoot

Anubis FFmpeg stopped working on macos

Replace the Intel version of FFmpeg with with Silicon

Apple seems to have dropped support for rosetta mode in m2+ processors, so you'll need to install a Silicon version.

  1. Download the Apple Silicon build of FFmpeg from https://osxexperts.net

  2. Unzip it to find the ffmpeg binary

  3. Enable debug mode for Adobe extensions

  4. Shift click the main render button to open the /binaries folder

  5. Paste in the new ffmpeg binary and overwrite the old one

Why haven't you fixed it already?

Great question. We honestly haven't had time to make the fixes and also rebuild the entire extension from the ground-up. Because Anubis was originally built with an older version of CEP, it isn't possible to generate a new release without a complete rewrite. Major bummer.

We're hoping to have a new release soon. Thanks for being patient.
