Layer duplication with a property link to the past
Selected layers are duplicated with all properties expression linked back to the original layer. Yes, it is that simple.

1.1.0 and end of life
At the time of this release (Nov 2023) we do not have plans for updates to Hylian. Because of recent updates to After Effects, there doesn’t seem to be much reason for Hylian anymore.
It is now possible to set a Track Matte without it needing to be directly above another layer.
It is also possible to use Essential Graphics to reuse precomps with changes to specific properties.
This is what Hylian set out to do, and it seems like Ae now does it better.
If you have any specific uses for Hylian, please let us know!
Quick start
Manual
Link all properties
With layers selected, clicking the first button will create a duplicate and EVERY keyframable property will be linked back to the source layer.
Keyframes will be removed and any expressions will be overwritten because the property is now being driven by the source.
Link all properties
With 1+ properties selected, clicking the first button will create a duplicate layer and link only the selected properties
Link un-selected properties
Hold ALT/Option to invert the selection of properties.
Example: You select the Opacity and Position properties. Every property will be linked except for these two. You can still reposition that layer, but it’s Rotation and Opacity will still be keyframeable.
Link keyframed properties
The second button is only responsible for linking properties with keyframes. This is useful if you aren’t changing any other properties and only want keyframed properties to be driven by the source layer.
